Day Trips in The Snake River. Twin Falls Idaho Snake River Canyon

BIRDS OF PREY SNAKE RIVER
Come with us to some of the most beautiful and rugged places on earth....

This protected habitat encompasses more than 400,000 acres along the Snake River. The area is the largest single nesting site for Raptors, the collective term for eagles, hawks, falcons, owls, ospreys and vultures in North America. The Snake flows silently through the 400 to 500 ft. volcanic nesting cliffs along the banks of the river. The sight of a raptor in its own environment, plummeting down towards the river in a 70 mile an hour dive at its prey, is a sight to behold. This is a non-rapids scenic float with fantastic bird-watching, camping and hiking. We have a limited number of launch dates as set by the Bureau of Land Management, Boise, Idaho.

OWYHEE RIVER

Wildflowers and wildlife abound amid towering redrock canyon walls in the remote and beautiful High Desert Owyhee Canyons. The river runs through parts of Oregon, Nevada and Idaho before flowing into the Snake River above Hell's Canyon. We run two different sections: the Upper Section is short and steep, 36 miles with numerous big rapids and a possible portage, previous whitewater experience preferred. The Lower Section is longer, 65 miles or so, with lots of nice floating and a few big rapids. Both sections have strange and beautiful rock formation and canyons. Both sections have Indian and Historical Sites. The Bureau of Land management, Vale, Oregon, assigns our launch dates.
